With these images, we want to show you the best placement of the sensors on the tank. We also show some possible placements on the device which we have found to be less successful, and which can lead to the Gobius device not being able to measure the level in the tank accurately.
Good examples
- Good place on a tank from Sealand (Dometic).
- The sensors do not need to be in a straight vertical line
- Gobius works on metal and plastic tanks, never in combinations of eg stainless steel with a covering layer of Fibre glass . Clean about 12 cm in diameter.
- Stainless steel tank, 1,5 mm tank wall thickness
Bad examples
- The sensor must never be in the clamp.
- The straps can interfere with the sensors, can reduce vibration.
- The sensors are too close to the left edge. The minimum distance is 3.5 cm.
- Sikaflex around the sensors destroys measurement. Never recommended.
- Two sensors in the same height.
- The space is too crowded to be able to press the sensors.
- The sensor is trapped. Keep a space.
