METS jury has announced DAME 2008 nominees The DAME Jury has short listed 53 products out of the 136 entered to win this year’s competition, which is the most prestigious marine products competition in the world. Gobius is one of the nominees.
History of DAME First held in 1991, the DAME (Design Award METS) is now recognised as the world’s leading design competition for new marine equipment and accessories. The DAME prize is awarded annually by an independent panel of judges for the best designed product at METS. The jury also usually names a winner for each category and gives ‘special mentions’ at its discretion. Apart from rewarding design, the Jury can decide to award a certificate for ‘most innovative product’ and/or -new this year- ‘most ECO friendly product’. The jury’s full list of shortlisted products, i.e. the nominated entries, is included in a final report and featured in the DAME exhibition.
